Brief Recap: California Mortgage Expo 2019 LA Edition

On Thursday May 9, the California Mortgage Expo returned for its LA edition at the Sheraton Park hotel in Anaheim. Over 40 exhibitors greeted hundreds of attendees, who journeyed from all over the LA area to experience a number of educational sessions and a world of networking opportunities.

The event featured the Quicken Loans Main Stage, the Quicken Loans Idea Lab and a third breakout room featuring concurrent sessions. Topics ranged from learning how to compete in the "Rocket Revolution" with Tracey Cox, QLMS Director of Marketing and Business Channel Strategy, to boosting your business with fix-and-flip loans and private lending with Stephen Ballard of RCN Capital.

In the Quicken Loans Idea Lab, attendees experienced a hands-on look at how they can boost their marketing efforts and turn over more revenue. These sessions and many more were supplemented by a packed exhibit hall featuring some of the top companies in the mortgage industry.

The buzz from the packed exhibit hall was constant throughout the day. Companies offered up-to-date information on the services they provided and attendees were given the connections and tools they need to be a successful broker or loan originator.

As the day begun to wind down, attendees were then invited outdoors for a cocktail session that offered a more laid-back setting for additional networking opportunities.

Attendees who preregistered for the NMLS class were able to complete the full, 8-hour continuing edition session for free on the day after the event. The session was taught by David Luna, president of Mortgage Educators and Compliance.

If you missed out on our LA edition of the California Mortgage Expo you still have a chance to attend the San Francisco edition in October or the Originator Connect Conference in August. To see a full list of conferences within the Originator Connect Network, visit mortgage conferences.com.
