Connecticut Sets The Bar High For Home Sales In June


If you're a mortgage broker looking for a market that is booming during the rough turnaround time, you may want to check out Connecticut. New reports show that homes sales in Connecticut for the month of June rose substantially to the highest-level.

"Sales of single-family houses rose nearly 9 percent in June compared with a year earlier, reaching the highest level for the month since the state tumbled into the last recession, according to the report from The Warren Group, which tracks real estate trends in New England and publishes The Commercial Record," according to National Mortgage News.

The report reveals the median sale price gained 1.5 percent in June with a $4,000 increase from $266,000 to $270,000. Paula Fahy Ostop is a real estate agent who works with William Raveis/Ellyn Marshall & Associates in the town of West Hartford, Connecticut.

According to the report, Ostop believes the market is growing in Connecticut because of the economic growth taking place in the state.
