Development Firm To Bring Affordable Housing To Fort Lauderdale

Continental Development Housing is making sure Fort Lauderdale, Florida has new affordable housing developments that will be hitting the market soon.

The firm will be completing 80 affordable housing units ranging from single-family homes to duplexes and townhouses in the northwest section of Fort Lauderdale, known as Sistrunk.

CDH is looking to bring more than just these 80 units as the firm targets 500 affordable housing unites in South Florida over the next four years.

"What I see in Sistrunk is the next Wynwood," said Juan Carlos Jurado, a developer and co-founder of Brickell-based Continental Development Holding, according to National Mortgage News.

"We don't want what happened to Wynwood to happen here. We want people whose families have lived here for two, three generations to be able to live here if they want to."

CDH has already completed five single-family homes in the neighborhood, according to the report.
