Huge Turnout For The 2019 Originator Connect Conference

Hundreds attended the third annual Originator Connect Conference at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The four-day event kicked off on Thursday, Aug. 15 with a complete Build-A-Broker session sponsored by Quicken Loans and continued through to Sunday, Aug. 18.

The Build-A-Broker workshop featured four masterful sessions, providing incoming and existing brokers with plenty of information to set them on the right track to success.

Brokers were given another opportunity to acquire these tools on Friday, Aug. 16 with the LO Success Track, sponsored by United Wholesale Mortgage. Providing the tools for success was one of the conferences most important missions throughout the event.

The conference strove to create an impactful event with as many educational opportunities possible. That included the NMLS license renewal class, which was separately ticketed at a discounted price.

To supplement the LO Success Track and NMLS class, Friday's educational lineup included three breakout sessions: "Understanding and Dealing with New Transitional Licensing Rules," "How to Leverage Private Money Bridge Loans to Increase Your Future Loan Volume," and "Save Money, Close More Loans with Free VOA in Point."

Originator Connect then kicked it into high gear as Casey Hurbis, Chief Marketing Officer for Quicken Loans, took the UWM main stage to share the keys to "Rocketing to Success." Hurbis was followed by Ben Anderson's "How to Be A Mortgage Rockstar."

Among the conference's many highlights was the opening Carnaval De Las Cabañas featuring performance by, Sony Music recording artist Dana Lauren and American Idol winner Nick Fradiani. The spectacular mixer provided an opportunity for networking under a more relaxed and entertaining setting as attendees prepared for the next day ahead.

On Saturday, Aug. 17 attendees enjoyed a full day of constructive sessions from Steve Richman's "Death By Cliche and Other Business Buzzwords" to "Boost Your Business With Fix-and-Flip Loans and Private Lending," featuring Jeffrey Tsech, Managing Directors and Private Lending Expert for RCN Capital. These were just two of the amazing sessions featured on Day Three of the event.

Day Three's highlights included the Quicken Loans Idea Lab, which was open for the entire day. In the Idea Lab, attendees learned valuable lessons on how to boost their marketing efforts through social media, their own website and many other outlets.

Attendees also filled the room for the day's keynote speakers including Blend co-founder and CEO, Nima Ghamsari; UWM president and CEO Mat Ishbia and Jeff Havens, the man behind the award-winning Uncrapify Your Life!

Of course, no Originator Connect conference would be complete without a bustling exhibit hall filled with more than 40 of the top names in the mortgage business.

The conference did not stop there. On Sunday, Originator Connect added even more value to its attendees by providing them with two sessions that helped them focus on their future career as well as the future of the United States.

Sunday was headlined by Donna Brazile, Presidential Election Strategist, former DNC Chair, and current Fox News and ABC News contributor. She provided an election outlook and shared why we've never seen anything like the 2020 election before.

The event would conclude with Jeff Havens' Uncrapify Your Future, which gave attendees a number of ways to make sure they don't get behind in their business life and tools to make the process of coming up with new ideas easier and more rewarding than they ever thought was possible.
