Search engine giant Google has announced plans to invest over $13 billion this year in data centers and offices across the U.S., with significant expansions in 14 states. The company expects to hire tens of thousands of new workers, as well as create over 10,000 new construction jobs in Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a blog post his company with this new investment will have operations in 24 total states, including data centers in 13 communities. Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia will benefit from the new construction jobs.

With its new office and data center development, Google’s workforce in Virginia and Georgia will double. In New York, the Google Hudson Square campus—a major product, engineering and business hub—will come to life over the next couple of years, Pichai wrote in his post.
