Utah Mortgage Expo 2018: Brief Recap
The 2018 Utah Mortgage Expo kicked off on Friday November 9, in beautiful Park City. The event featured over 20 exhibitors that filled the room with a wide array of products and opportunities for brokers and originators.
In addition to all of the networking possibilities for originators and mortgage professionals in attendance, folks were given the opportunity to attend a number of educational sessions.
Don Frommeyer, National Mortgage Chair of the Originator Connect Network opened the event with welcoming remarks encouraging attendees to take advantage of the resources they were provided with at the event.
The Silvermine room featured general sessions from Allen Middleman, senior VP of wholesale at Freedom Mortgage; John Paasonen, CEO of Maxwell; Justin Glass, Chief Digital Officer for UWM; David Luna, President of Mortgage Educators and Compliance and Erik Janeczko, National Sales Coach for Flanagan State Bank Mortgage.
Topics ranged from making the most of the Non-QM market to customer service and satisfaction through technology. Luna also provided a full in-depth look at TRID 2.0.
A separately ticketed 2-hour NMLS Class was offered to those who purchased a ticket. In this class, licensees were able to learn all of the statute definitions necessary for their 2018 renewable, along with any new statutes and rules that have been introduced.
