Motor City Mortgage Expo Brief Recap

Detroit's Motor City Mortgage Expo opened on Thursday, April 12 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Dearborn with a great turn out, strong lineup of exhibitors and quality information from keynotes speakers.

The event kicked off with Donald Frommeyer, National Mortgage Chair and continued with a number of speakers throughout the duration of the event.

The early bird session featured information on how to compete in the "robot mortgage world" with Eric Janeczko of Maximum Acceleration.

As the sessions progressed, Adam Batayeh, President of Lodasoft, delivered some useful tech tips to help originators and brokers learn how to introduce greater efficiency and productivity.

Mortgage Educators' David Luna provided a much needed breakdown and clarity over the hefty TRID 2.0 document. Luna also taught the NMLS course the following morning, a class which was offered free of charge during the online registration period.

Additional sessions include UWM's Digital Officer Justin Glass, who engaged in a deep discussion on what to expect from technology in the present and the future.

Meanwhile, David Lykken added some strong information on the shift in the industry, with heavy statistics and strategies to help originators and brokers develop an all new strategy.

Attendees were able to network with over 15 exhibitors, gain credible and applicable information for the mortgage field and catch up on their NMLS course all in one place.
