Originator Connect Event Recap: Atlanta Mortgage Expo Edition
The Atlanta Mortgage Expo kicked off last Thursday, March 15 at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center, with over 20 exhibitors and a number of informative sessions for mortgage brokers and loan originators who attended.
Donald Frommeyer, National Mortgage Chair, opened up the event and previewed some of the best opportunities to take advantage of as a member of the Originator Connect Network.
The opening general session was conducted by industry expert David Luna who brought clarity to the TRID 2.0 document that will undoubtedly change the way loan originators operate.
The event continued with sessions led by Janet Orozco Feller, Director of Marketing for First Rehab Lending; Justin Glass, Chief Digital Officer at United Wholesale Mortgage; Atlanta attorney Lynne Sparks, sales expert Dr. Kerry Johnson and ended with an insightful take on The Whole Tale of Wholesale with Allen Middleman, the senior Vice President of Wholesale for Freedom Mortgage.
In addition to these informative, educational sessions, attendees were invited to walk the exhibitor hall packed with vendors from some of the biggest companies in the mortgage industry.
Attendees were give time to network with these companies to learn about the latest products and information necessary to successfully navigate the origination business.
The event carried over into the 8-hour NMLS Renewal Class on Friday, March 16, where pre-registered attendees who attended the event the day before were given a chance to catch up on all of their continuing education.
