Dallas Home Price Pace Slows to a Five-Year Low

The Dallas-area has always been a top performer among the nation in terms of home price gains. This year prices have trended up, though, there is concern around the slower pace at which these gains are occurring.

"Dallas-area home prices were up 6.9% in the latest national comparison," according to National Mortgage News.

"While the local increase was slightly larger than the nationwide gain, it was the smallest percentage price rise for Dallas home values in almost five years, according to the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller Home Price Index."

Overall a good number of the U.S. market is seeing hikes in home prices. According to the report, Seattle home prices jumped 12.7% and Las Vegas saw a price jump of 11.1%.

While the Dallas area home prices aren't jumping at an increased rate, we're still seeing positive growth across the North Texas region.
