Hottest Housing Market for 2017 Goes to Watauga, Texas

If you're a mortgage professional thinking of packing up and moving to one of the better housing markets, you may want to consider Watauga, Texas. It has been voted as the country's "hottest housing market," according to the latest reports.


"The Tarrant County city of Watauga is getting the honor again from online home sales site," according to National Mortgage News.


"Located north of Fort Worth, Watauga takes up only about four square miles and has a population of more than 25,000."


The report explains that Watauga is a "vibrant, multicultural metropolis." Watauga also happens to be rich in restaurants and more cultural offerings as well as strong school districts.


Jacquelyn Reff, Watauga's director of planning and economic development believes that the price point for all Watauga has to offer is good, according to the report. What exactly is the average price of a home in Watauga? According to the report, the median home price for 2017 in Watauga is $160,441and it actually happens to be up 12.4 percent.
