Morning Motivation To Keep Your Dreams Alive

Keeping your dreams alive applies to more than just life goals. It also speaks to any professionals goals you dream to accomplish. Wishing for them often means that you would be waiting for them to come. Dreams can become reality if you really work at it.

In life there will be plenty of people in your line of work that may tell you to find another career. They may say, "you just aren't cut out for this" or "you're not good at selling mortgages." That doesn't mean you can't get better at it.

"J.C. Penney, founder of the retail giant that bears his name, once evaluated one of his young clerks, stating he 'wasn’t thorough and wouldn’t have much of a future in the retail business.' The employee? Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart," wrote Harvey Mackay, a well-known best-selling author and owner of the MackayMitchess Envelope Company.

"Despite Penney’s hopeless prediction, Sam Walton built the largest retail empire in the world. The opinions of honest, well-intentioned people can sometimes be off the mark. Don’t let misguided judgments keep you from pursuing your dreams."

This solid advice can be applied to any career you happen to be in. We like to think it especially applies to the competitive community that is the mortgage world.

The passage came from Mackay's weekly column where he provides motivation for those in need. You can read his full column from this week by clicking on the image above.
